A Father's Day Celebration

What is a father? A family is not complete if there is no father. The fathers are called “Haligi ng Tahanan” because they guide the family to the right way of living. They are also the one that keeps the family away from danger. The fathers are usually the one that works to sustain the needs of the family.

Last week was the Father’s Day celebration. My father and I just had a simple bonding. We talked about my life especially the problems that I have. We also played games in our PSP together. Then suddenly, he gave me a piece of folded paper from his wallet. It was a letter, a letter from me. He told me that I gave that letter to him when I was 8 years old. I can’t even remember that I gave that letter but when I read the letter, I remembered that I gave him that when he was promoted to his work. It really melted my heart when I knew that he treasured it and made it as his inspiration.

During weekends, when my father got home, I usually massage his back to relieve the pain and stress somehow. I will never forget to show him how thankful am I that he is my father. I have nothing else to request him because I am already contented to all the things that I have. It feels so good to hear how much he appreciates the things that I do.

Our fathers will do everything for our family. They’re ready to face all the consequences and to sacrifice for us. We should always keep on reminding them on how much we love them, how much we care for them and how grateful we are to have them. We should force ourselves to study hard. It’s the only way to repay them to all the sacrifices that they have done for us. We can also try to obey them always and respect them. We should all thank God for giving them to us.

The Start of a New Adventure

A new school year has begun. Well, of course, a different environment, new subject teachers and class advisers, and new sets of classmates and friends. The start of a new adventure have started. New challenges are to face by each one of us throughout the whole school year. Days passed quickly, that I didn't even noticed it. I am a third year student now. It feels so great.

At first, I thought that almost all the teachers in the Third year level were strict. I also thought that I would find the subjects boring. Lastly, I thought that making friends with my new classmates would be difficult for me. But after two weeks, I have realized that those thoughts were all wrong. Being a disciplinarian is their role as a teacher. To make the subject interesting, there are activities given to us. Being socially inclined with my new classmates was not that difficult because they are all friendly and kind.

I hope that this school year will be blessed. I hope that the whole school year will be full of fun and exciting activities. This will make studying easier. I have never thought that my first impressions for being a Junior students were wrong. This time, I will strive harder to make my grades higher. I will also try my best to be responsible enough this school year.
